Job Summary
The position serves as the primary tax advisor for certain business units and corporate/enterprise functions. This will involve generating and implementing tax planning ideas and structuring tax-efficient transactions.
Responsibilities
Minimize tax liability and effective tax rate Review, analyze and provide advice with respect to business unit transactions Build a deep knowledge of the businesses; Work with business units to understand and develop facts that will impact tax liability and rate Provide tax support for M&A transactions (review, draft, due diligence and structure) Provide research and strategic support for U.S. federal, state and foreign audits Optimize tax efficiency of international structure Intercompany pricing; Legal entity and financing structures; Dividend planning Review and advise on new legislation and other tax changes (U.S. and foreign) Understand basics of U.S. tax accounting and compliance for support of the reporting and audit tax groups Requirements
8-10 years of experience, with some of this at a corporation preferred JD required. LLM and/or CPA a plus Knowledge of Subchapter C; M&A and international. Familiarity with some foreign tax regimes a plus Familiarity with tax accounting/ASC 740; consolidated returns; employee benefit/HR issues; tax controversies Ability to manage projects Strong communication skills Accountability
