BC/BE GERIATRICIANS OR PALLIATIVE CARE PHYSICIANS

Ideal candidates are BC/BE Geriatricians or Palliative Care Physicians who demonstrate exemplary and compassionate clinical skills across care settings, a collaborative team approach and interest in clinical education and research. These positions offer flexibility and opportunities to build and expand innovative programs, such as inpatient Geriatrics and Palliative Care Consultative Services, HELP, Transitional Care Unit, Hospice and Ethics, Community-Based Specialty Clinics, Post Acute - Transitional Care Program, Medical Directorships for Long Term Care Facilities, Aging-in-Place Initiatives, Home-Based Programs, PACE, care demonstration models, clinical research and education. Selected candidate will be eligible for faculty appointment with USC College of Medicine and selection for Institute for Advancement in Healthcare Scholars.

GHS employs over 10,000 people, including over 600 physicians on staff. Our system includes clinically excellent facilities with 1,268 beds on 5 campuses. Additionally, we offer 7 residency programs, 7 fellowships and beginning in 2012, a 4-year medical education program: University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, located on GHS Greenville Memorial Medical Campus. We are a designated Level I Emergency Trauma Center and also have a separate research facility.
