Assistant Brand Manager - Coty Prestige Marketing

The business is currently looking to appoint an Assistant Brand Manager on a permanent basis. This role is responsible for working within the Coty Prestige Marketing Team on Marc Jacobs and Vera Wang brands.
Main purpose of the role
Supporting the Brand Manager in implementing the operational marketing strategy for Marc Jacobs and Vera Wang brands in the UK markets. Global strategy and NPD (New product development) takes place within the International Teams based in Paris and New York.
Taking full ownership of execution and ongoing evaluation of the Marketing Promotional programme, ensuring all promotional objectives are executed on brand, on time and on budget.
§ Managing the day to day control and execution of the instore point-of-sale (POS) strategy for all promotions and launches.
§ Managing and controlling the day to day organisation of POS production and its design, involving liaison with International Merchandising teams as well as external suppliers.
§ Managing launch and promotional requests from retailers for example website information, co-op (retailer magazine) advertising, site visuals.
§ Conducting pre and post analysis of launches and promotions qualitative and quantitative.
§ Working closely with the Brand Manager and the Digital Marketing manager on the online and in-store loyalty programs, taking ownership of these programs, focusing on monthly monitoring and reporting of the schemes.
§ Play a pro-active role during monthly meetings with the warehouse team in order to communicate precise and accurate information on the implementation of the promotional strategy regarding delivery dates, assembly jobs, any critical issues and any changes to the promotional programme.
§ Effective and accurate budget management including administration of all invoices (except media), management of the monthly accruals and updating budget trackers on a monthly basis.
§ Conducting monthly competitive reviews including price analysis.
§ Producing Sales Conference materials and ensuring all elements are available from the International teams.
§ Developing effective working relationships and communication with other key departments in particular PR, Visual Merchandising and Sales.
§ General administrative tasks to support fragrance team, utilising the Marketing Coordinator/Student Placement for support when needed.
§ Supporting the Brand Manager / Marketing Manager with ad hoc requests as required.
Other skills and experience required for this role include:
§ Degree or equivalent qualification (or level of experience) required, a Business related degree preferable
§ Solid previous experience in a similar role essential
§ An understanding/appreciation of the fine fragrance market and retail environment
§ Proven skills in project management and ability to manage multiple projects at one time
§ Good time management and ability to priorities effectively
§ A high degree of numeracy
§ Fully proficient in standard IT packages
§ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
§ Strong team player with ability to effectively listen, contribute and influence
§ Ability to work with autonomy on areas of specific responsibility
