Veeva Systems is looking for an experienced Director of Information Technology to help define the future of our Information Technology organization. This challenging role will lead the team that is responsible for Veeva’s global applications and IT infrastructure. As Director of Information Technology, you will provide guidance, direction, mentoring, and oversight to members of the IT staff. The right individual is a strong team player and manager, has a strong technical background, is willing to roll up his/her sleeves, loves to take ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced and fluid entrepreneurial environment.

Veeva is profitable and pre-IPO. This newly created role reports to the VP of Operations

Responsibilties:

Manage Information Technology Team

Establish and maintain formal IT policy/procedures in support of Sarbanes-Oxley, SOC2, SSAE 16, etc.

IT project tracking/implementation

Manage external IT vendors/contracts

Project management, prioritization, and change management methodologies for deployment of changes to SaaS applications.

Promote emerging technologies and approaches that allow us to scale IT operations and achieve operational effectiveness

Hands on overflow coverage for IT team members

Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and purchasing.

Manage escalation processes and incident management for optimum efficiency, service availability, and quality

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and/or equivalent

3+ years managing IT staff of at least 5 people

Hired at least 1 person in the last 2 years

Previous experience as the Director of IT or similar
