Reporting to the Director of HR, the HR Assistant provides hands-on support to the HR department and Fast Fabricators’ employees. You will support the HR function including benefits, compensation, new hire orientation, onboarding, employee relations, record keeping, HRIS systems, and legal compliance.
Maintains an applicant pool and processes new hires for job vacancies as they occur. Administers job bidding, prepares and distributes reports and forms in accordance with State and Federal requirements and company policies and procedures.
Prepares reports out of SAP such as termination, new hire, employee roster, headcount and weekly TO reports. Maintains accurate and complete personnel records on all current hourly employees. Assists employees enrolling for and making changes to their health and life insurance plans.
Assist with new employee pre-hire activities, i.e. monitoring background checks status, generate offer letters, Everify I-9, creates and maintains hard copy personnel files, keeps filing up to date and conducts file audits as necessary. Supports benefits administration, i.e., enrollments, changes, COBRA, and Open Enrollment process, Works with payroll (direct deposit, child support, etc.), posts, tracks and files internal announcements. Complete written and verbal verifications of employment.
Runs adhoc report gathering Affirmative action data to assist with the filing of EEO-1 and AAP reports annually. Provides regular and ad-hoc reporting from HRIS (SAP)
Provides backup maintenance of Applicant Tracking System (Hirebridge),
Perform additional related administrative duties and special projects as assigned by the HR leadership
Bachelors Degree in HR desired but not required. High School Diploma required. Must have excellent computer skills, high energy, driven, ambitious; with a willingness to learn and participate. Knowledge of SAP. Must have 3 years experience in Human Resources
