Job Description
Ogilvy & Mather is currently seeking a developer with a passion for learning new skills and a penchant for software craftsmanship. This candidate must be a team-oriented player with a demonstrated ability to impact system architecture, investigate system-wide technical problems, and develop new features for Ogilvy & Mather's Fortune 500 clients. The role requires excellent knowledge of the .NET framework and strong object oriented programming skills - knowledge of design patterns are a must. The candidate must have the ability to develop a solution by mapping a customer business problem to an end-to-end technology solution. Additionally, candidates must have excellent communication skills and a desire and ability to quickly learn new skills.

Responsibilities:
. Building sophisticated, resilient Web 2.0 enabled applications
. Work closely with our technical managers and clients to develop elegant solutions to difficult problems
. Work very closely with our front end developers to integrate Html, CSS and Javascript
. Debug runtime problems and understand the interactions between systems
. Contribute to testing and implementations approach for server side layer
. Contribute to standards and practices for the server side team
. Work in a team-oriented environment
Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
. 5-7 years of software development experience
. .Net 2.0/3.5/4.0 and beyond and/or Java 6.0 or better
. Strong OOP skills
. Knowledge of systems architecture and software design patterns
. Experience with WCF, REST, Webservices and service oriented architecture
. Experience with ASP.NET MVC and Web Forms
. Mobile, iOS and Android development experience a plus
. Experience with Test Driven Development and testing frameworks
. Familiarity with AJAX, Jquery and other javascript frameworks
. Strong database & SQL skills - preferably MSSQL and MySql. SSIS & ETL experience a plus
. Experience with ORM's including NHibernate, Entity Framework and Linq2Sql
. Experience with SVN, TFS and Continuous Integration
. Familiarity with CMS Systems, such as Sitecore, Episerver, Adobe CQ5, and Umbraco a plus
