MANAGER GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT
POSITION SUMMARY: The scope of this position includes all non-aircraft assets used in conjunction with the ramp, airport and maintenance operations. This definition of GSE, includes motorized, non-motorized, tooling, passenger handling equipment, support equipment (jacks, stands, chocks, pins, etc), deicing and other equipment as identified. This will include any leased in, leased out, owned and vendor equipment used in support of the Allegiant operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide guidance to ensure safety compliance of aircraft, customers, facilities and employee working environments. Address issues and ensure corrective action as required
Equipment specifications management oversee and drive all equipment specification and use design. Ensure Allegiant compliance with all regulations and safety specifications. Ensure all equipment in the Allegiant fleet (leased in, leased out and owned) is appropriate for use on Allegiants aircraft fleet.
Ramp procedures drive the appropriate use of GSE is driven through all procedures and training
Maintenance Management oversee and drive all GSE maintenance activities. Include strategy, implementation, controls, reliability, contingency planning, safety and testing procedures.
Maintenance program definition develop equipment maintenance program and controls for all GSE to ensure the availability, reliability and cost efficiency of the GSE fleet. This program includes but not limited to preventive maintenance program, repair program and controls, pre-operating checks for equipment users, annual lift inspections and all regulatory and safety program definitions.
Maintenance validation ensure any equipment is maintained in accordance with Allegiant defined specifications. This includes control program that includes local validation, validation of appropriateness of work completed, validation of costs charged and periodic auditing of maintenance and safety records.
Vendor Management arrange commercial arrangements with all maintenance vendors including contracts, maintenance procedures, administrative procedures, controls, performance measurement, periodic business reviews and cost performance.
Inventory Management Define, implement and drive effective GSE inventory management and controls. This includes the development and implementation of policies, procedures and auditing to ensure all areas in the company have the information necessary to maintain capital asset records. Perform periodic audits and annual GSE inventory to ensure accuracy of equipment. Implement appropriate cross checks to identify any discrepancies and correct in a timely manner. Define and implement an effective retirement program for equipment based on costs, function, safety and other considerations.
Cost management Manage all GSE direct and indirect costs. Including capital acquisition, preventive maintenance, repair, parts, transportation, fuel and any other related costs.
Capital asset management Establish and support all aspects of managing Allegiants capital assets.
New station and aircraft fleet support Ensure all necessary GSE is defined, planned, acquired and delivered to support all airline operations. This includes new stations, bases and new aircraft. Manage assets as fleet mix changes and flight schedules are adjusted.
Airport and station interface for equipment needs and on-site configuration support Ensure all GSE allocated can be supported by the location. This includes electrical hook-ups, fuel availability, parking requirements and all support needs, permits, licenses, maintenance, etc.
Information support and analysis develop systems to drive management analysis of GSE reliability and costs. Drive special analysis to improve availability and cost effectiveness of the fleet.
Logistics Coordinate all movements, parts support, maintenance activities to meet the needs of the airline.
Field Support support all users of GSE. Develop processes and procedures which effectively provide information, answer questions, support out of service equipment, answer questions, etc.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid drivers license.
Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
Able to attend required training
Well developed planning and organizational skills are required
Must be able to establish goals and objectives and constantly measure the performance of the station ensuring goals are met
Must be committed to the importance of safety, serving the customer and have excellent customer service focus
Proficient in the English language
EDUCATION: High School diploma. Bachelors degree preferred
EXPERIENCE: Equipment procurement and management experience required with a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience
KNOWLEDGE: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software and general ability to use information technology
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Airport/Office environment Indoors/Outdoors. Travel on a routine basis
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to push/pull 300 pounds. Airport environment may require the ability to carry 70 pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet; must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time. Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position
