An exciting opportunity is available within FMC Corporation, Agricultural Products Group for someone who is an acknowledged professional in Supply Chain Planning who can integrate best practices through systems in Detailed Scheduling, Capacity Requirements Planning, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Master Scheduling, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning.

As part of the APG Global Supply Chain, he/she will employ Supply Chain business and system skills to build, develop, and deliver world-class solutions in a partnership approach with APG Planning business leadership. The Supply Chain Business Systems Manager must transmit a strong sense of confidence in achieving the vision of a successful business transformation delivered in conjunction with Supply Chain solutions.

S/he will lead the global community of MRP and Advanced Planning Experts and will define and influence global best practices for Detailed Scheduling, Capacity Requirements Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Master Scheduling, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning with input from markets/regions/units/external companies/vendors. S/he will be the guardian of the global MRP best practices, configurations, and will also recommend and prioritize the capability development scope based on anticipated business benefits. S/he will be responsible for working in conjunction with business leadership to understand and document requirements, define functional and technical solutions, define acceptance criteria and test strategies, direct programming and analyst resources in the delivery of technical solutions, assist in testing responsibilities, work with business constituents on user acceptance testing and sign-off, defining and leading the development of training material, managing assigned project management responsibilities, and reporting on status and progress on a regular basis. This position will require application of a strong Supply Chain vision to further improve business performance as competitive environments continue to evolve.

Candidate should have a strong business orientation, possess leadership skills, capable of articulating a clear vision of how to run a world-class Supply Chain, strong relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization (including Director level executives), and innovative action.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate MRP and Supply Chain Systems processes innovation/continuous improvement and evolve the global process and application configuration to achieve business objectives and alignment towards best practices
  • Design lean, efficient end-to-end systems integrated business processes for prioritized areas and deliver appropriate training to the Functional User community
  • Be the custodian of the MRP and Supply Chain Planning best practices, configurations and monitor/ensure compliance
  • Drive greater business benefit delivery through processes and applications, including running live site health assessments, challenging business processes, championing best practice, etc
  • Actively lead the global SAP community of practice -facilitate and influence functional and application experts to share learnings, deliver business benefits and drive business improvements through SAP effectiveness
  • Provide in-depth SAP business process and application knowledge, defining and documenting the business processes and data definitions
  • Manage operational relationship with application vendors (e.g. SAP and Logility) and work with them to deliver strategic application functionality
  • Partner in external forums to keep abreast of trends in MRP and support external benchmarking/research/R&D for process and IT innovation
  • Define, create and deliver appropriate training material that provides both high-level business process knowledge and detailed operational understanding to sustain operational effectiveness to the Functional Expert community on MRP processes
  • Provide business process expertise in the ongoing deployment of business solutions (process and applications) into new global segments, markets and factories globally
  • Resolve escalated process and functional issues from any of the 8+ globally located deployments of the SAP application suite used for supply planning and master scheduling
  • Ensure and maintain process and portfolio consistency with related business processes and application solutions (SAP, Reporting/BW, Demand Planning/Logility Demand)
Required Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, IT or related field
  • Qualifications:
    • Have a minimum of 5-10 years working with large SAP and/or Advanced Planning systems, preferably SAP and Logility, in a supply chain environment ideally as a demand planner, supply planner, process and/or application expert
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects with a larger number of diverse stakeholders and bring significant change to the business using Effective Business Change Methodology
    • Demonstrated ability to manage both process and systems applications, and to also re-engineer processes and drive change management
    • Ability to work in a management capacity, troubleshoot process/systems at a detailed operational level
    • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies with other functions, including end Customer touch points and upstream supplier touch points are preferred.
    • Root cause problem solving training and experience is required.
    • Experience with Business Process Mapping and Improvement experience is a plus.
    • Ability to influence all levels of business and IT users and management teams
    • Has a strong expertise in lean thinking to ensure adherence to lean principles
    • Experience in a multi-cultural global environment
    • Ability to lead teams with a common purpose and set clear objectives, monitor progress and results
    • Strong facilitation and communication skills at various levels; can articulate critical success factors and accompanying measurements

    Competencies:

    • In-depth knowledge of business processes in MRP and Supply Chain Planning to a level of genuine business credibility The jobholder will be/become an 'expert' in all of the following competence areas:
    • (MRP. Detailed Scheduling, Capacity Requirements Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Master Scheduling, Demand Planning, and Supply Planning (powered by SAP and Logility)
    • A well-rounded understanding of general Supply Chain principles
