Reports to: Registered Principal
Compensation Commensurate with Experience: $30,000 – 40,000 base, plus percentage of new written business after six months.

Summary:

The New Business and Service Assistant maintains primary “ownership” of cases from the time the application is received by the Advisor through the final receipt of funds delivery. He or she is responsible for having the appropriate, populated forms for the sale in the Advisor’s hands before the sales appointment, and plays a critical role in shortening cycle time between business acquisition and compensation paid. Maintenance of a New Business Case Log with current information is crucial. The role requires frequent communication and coordination between the Advisor, his Sales Assistant, the Broker-Dealer, vendors and clients. The primary goal of new business management is to see that applications are handled in a fashion that maximizes the opportunity for timely issuance and creates a superior customer service experience for our clients.

In addition, the New Business/Service Assistant handles all client requests for service on their existing contracts, and maintains a log of all service requests and their disposition. He or she also screens the Advisor’s phone calls, greets and seats clients, notes client preferences and makes client information available to all staff for appointment time.

Responsibilities:

Duties include but are not limited to:
Facilitation of the follow up process for all types of applications through multiple carriers and custodians.
Acting as primary liaison with all interested parties throughout the life cycle of each case; proactively identifying self as primary point of contact for current information regarding the status of that case.
Organizing and prioritizing active weekly case load that maintains our service level promise.
Maintaining internal processing database to document work activity in order to ensure communication on all assigned cases in a timely manner.
Maintaining frequent communication to manage advisor and customer expectations appropriately.
Providing a superior customer experience.


Desired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, Sections 6 & 63 Financial Licensing required.
MS Office Tools preferred, skilled in the use of a personal computer and specialized software, proficient with new business tracking software and imaging systems
Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong follow through and sense of urgency, strong relationship building skills and problem solving skills.
Handles multiple tasks easily and in an orderly fashion
Ability to adapt to change quickly
Possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Applies a strong sense of urgency to all tasks, especially those that impact our ability to process business quickly

Ideal candidate will have a heart to serve, be naturally positive and have strong customer service skills. 1-3 years’ experience with serving customers is desired.

      Pros

      Fast Paced , Open to New Ideas, Nice Bonuses, if you are willing to work for them, Good Benefits, Opportunity to work from home on occassion. Always something to learn. High standards.

      Cons

      Must be flexible and willing to take on new tasks without a great deal of direction. Might have to stay late on occassion to complete your work or help a co worker finish theirs. Must be willing to switch gears to handle a client or management request.
