    Pros

Overall, executive leadership had a strong vision for the firm and made a point of communicating major news or policies to the employees.

    Cons

Department head was erratic and temperamental. Significant turnover led to being part of a team that was never quite whole, always in the process of training and/or letting someone go. Constant sniping between senior partners created a challenging work environment. Firm does high-quality work for its clients, but ultimately, interpersonal issues amongst staff/partners, etc. caused me to leave the firm. Additionally, work/life balance was nonexistent and compensation was quite low compared to competitors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Assess the managing directors/partners just as you would the lower-level staff. Just because someone has achieved a certain level shouldn't give them a free pass to act unprofessionally.

    Pros

Open door policy (but beware because whatever you tell the higher up are always shared to their "puppets").
Good working environment except when you are not part of the "in" group.
Good salary as compared to big 4 audit firms.

    Cons

Client base is so small that seniors end up working on the same client for years.
Review process needs to be improved and not based solely on the managers professional and sometimes personal view of the person.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Having the annual Winter Break is nice and the location is convenient and central to everything for me. The majority of the partners are genuinely friendly people.

    Cons

Administrative staff is underappreciated and the favoritism within the groups is very apparent, to the detriment of others within the department. Many of the corporate "perks" do not apply to the administrative staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Career advisor should be separate from supervisor. Supervisor should be who I work with (Partner) every day.
