    Pros

Flexible about employees working from home over video. For the most part, people are smart, upbeat, and easy to work with.

    Cons

Sometimes the organization tries to move too fast, and they sacrafice quality and accuracy for speed and time-to-market, which leads to confusion in the field and with customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep evolving leadership style to align with new C-Level direction/strategy, and less of the knee-jerk reactive management style.

    Pros

Austin site has great engineers who are easy to work with, and are devoted to building amazing products. I enjoy learning new things from the senior team members.

There are several social events, planned lunches, and fun activities. In addition to this, the Austin site also has couple of snack rooms with fruits and snack, and a good size game room with pool table. All this makes it a fun place to work.

I was recognized for my accomplishments. Compensation is good as well.

    Cons

A lot of churn in the leadership team that makes it challenging to have continuity. Need stronger marketing team that can help properly define the requirements. Need better software development methodology to keep up with the times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please reduce the churn on the leadership and management team. Find the right people who want to work at Polycom for the right reasons, and then retain them. Communicate the long term strategy in a way where each team understands how they fit in. Train middle managers to better understand people management. Currently we have several cases where strong engineers have become managers, but have limited training in managing people. Ensure that the engineers have the tools to be productive (hardware and software).
