Job Description

My client wants to hire a Senior Planner/Scheduler that will be responsible for developing and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) associated with the Ground Support Systems portion of a satellite program. Analysis of planning packages and work packages, and their relationship with major program milestones, will be a key part of the task. The senior planner will also conceptualize and create project management reports, meeting with Ground management and staff to determine reporting requirements, frequency of reporting, and so on. Must be able to analyze schedules provided by vendors along with the Ground Support schedules and provide ideas as to how the schedules will interact/integrate. Program/project scheduling experience in the aerospace industry is a plus for this position, but the most important thing is that the senior planner/scheduler is highly experienced and meets the requirements below.


Requirements:


- 6+ years of planning and scheduling experience on complex projects with an understanding of critical paths and float/slack analysis


- Proficiency in MS Project 2003 or 2007


- Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts, analysis, implementation, and reporting


- Strong knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and best practices


- Prior experience developing and utilizing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)


- Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Desired:


- PMP Certification


- Prior use of risk management applications (@Risk, etc.) and Milestones Professional


- Prior use of schedule analysis/metrics tools (Steelray, etc.)


- Work experience in the Aerospace industry


- Prior exposure to Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs)
