Job Description

Position Requirements:
Candidates must demonstrate all of the following technical competencies:

  • 8+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server (5 + years in 2005 and 2+ years in 2008, 2008 R2) developing complex transact queries including stored procedures, functions, triggers and views
  • 8+ years of experience in Database Administration including Installing, configuring, managing and monitoring SQLServer dBs
  • 5+ years of experience in SSIS developing complex ETL processes
  • 3+ years of experience in SSRS
  • Working knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Replication and Security
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, connectivity and security issues
  • Experience in improving data integration process through performance tuning techniques

In addition, we are looking for:

  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Source Safe
  • Working knowledge of TFS is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills using diagnostic skills related to database management and data analysis
  • Experience in code review and acceptance process in order to improve code quality and delivery
  • Strong documentation skills to facilitate support of ongoing operational responsibilities
  • Strong emphasis on unit testing and delivering defect-free code to QA
  • Skill in building clean, reusable SQL code
