"The Engage:BDR Network�s Vice President, Digital Media Sales will be an exceptional sales leader and integral part of leading the company�s advertising business across online, mobile and connected video. Reporting to the CEO, the VP Digital Media Sales will own the global goal, develop its sales strategy and manage the day to day sales activity for the West Hollywood, CA team. In addition, the VP will personally lead and help build a premium high CPM direct sales business through strategic account growth and innovative sales pitches and media packages. The VP will need to be a dynamic individual with a passion for generating new business and hitting sales goals and properly develop and nurture agency relationships. To succeed in the emerging entertainment video streaming space, the VP will need to display a number of strengths including access to key client and agency media decision-makers, consultative selling, meticulous planning and inspiring sales management. The ideal candidate will also have a unique ability to drive large media partnerships and deep brand integrations in original video, display and mobile advertising. Overall the VP will have an explosive opportunity to help build a new premium direct sales organization. Sales Strategy & Sales Activities � 70% - Develop and drive global sales strategy for generating revenue through premium direct sales to brands and agencies as well as RFP agency business and grow Engage:BDR's performance business - Lead all day-to-day sales activities (includes in-person sales meetings for key meetings) and ensure current and future performance continues to yield strong results - Personally build and maintain deep relationships with key advertisers (heavy focus on agencies but also with brand/clients both branded and performance) - Evaluate and recommend selling strategies to CEO based on categories, platform, content, scope of deal, inventory requirements, sales goals and long-term benefits - Complete margin analysis & green light exercises for all large deals - Create & execute post campaign & renewal strategies for all running business. - Communicate client product feedback internally - Utilize data and research as a key means for generating sales interest across all products Sales Management � 20% - Recruit, hire and manage new high performing sales team of Account Executives - Provide real time forecasting of sales revenue and pipeline reporting and instill a culture of accountability - Educate sales team on new opportunities and help bring the latest or updated packages to market Sales Materials & Ad Community Outreach � 10% - Provide ideas and recommendations on sales materials and unique selling angles for day-to-day sales activities - Help orchestrate or capitalize on unique events or meetings with senior client/brand and agency executives to position the Engage:BDR Network story and advertising opportunities in a meaningful way Knowledge of: - Intimate knowledge of media business client, agency and digital vendors/partners requirements - Industry advertising pricing and competitive trends in display, mobile, video and digital sales industries - Product placement and branded entertainment landscape - Media plans, IAB terms and conditions, Ad-serving platforms, Ad technologies - Set-up and use of Salesforce - comScore, Nielsen and other required research needed for sales activities Skills In: - Sales & Negotiation - Communication (e.g., presenting, meetings, speaking, building presentations etc.) - Management Ability To: - Secure sales meetings with senior level brand/clients and agency contacts - Understand product and ad technology both opportunities and limitations of platforms - Effectively educate media buyers of the Engage:BDR Network value proposition and its opportunities Desired Skills & Experience Requirements: - Bachelor�s Degree, preferred - Minimum of 7 years successful digital advertising experience, including a track record of outstanding results in sales management with $10 million+ in annual revenue - Minimum of 3 years of entertainment experience - Experience successfully creating and executing sales strategy and growing a top performing sales organization around evangelizing emerging platforms (e.g., video, mobile or connected TV) - Proven track record in developing seven figure plus deals through direct communication with brand/client contacts and running a national sales team with multiple offices - Prior experience working with executive teams in crafting and evangelizing value propositions and product offerings within a new or emerging platform - Experience building sales processes and tools, including collateral, case studies, customized proposals, marketing materials, etc. - Experience with video media sales required - Outstanding communications skills including demonstrated negotiation skills and exemplary consultative selling skills - A network of senior level relationships and relevant contacts at both clients and agencies within key categories (Male, Auto, CPG Food, QSR, Technology, Gaming, Studio, Retail, Men�s Health & Grooming) - Organized and results-oriented - Eager to embrace a creative, hands-on entrepreneurial environment with the ability to drive sales while building a top performing organization This full-time position is based in our West Hollywood office.
