GLASSDOOR WINS BERSIN BY DELOITTE AWARD FOR ITS INNOVATIVE HR & TALENT SOLUTIONS
Leading Research Firm Recognizes Glassdoor’s Efforts to Help Companies Address Recruiting Challenges
SAUSALITO, Calif., – (March 8, 2013) – Glassdoor, the social jobs and career community, has been honored for its innovative HR and talent solutions as part of Bersin by Deloitte’s 2013 WhatWorks® Awards. Bersin by Deloitte, previously Bersin & Associates prior to a recent acquisition, is a leading research and advisory services firm that focuses on enterprise learning, talent management, talent acquisition, and strategic HR solutions. Glassdoor’s talent solutions, which include Enhanced Employer Profiles and JobAds™, provide companies with an opportunity to tell their story to target job candidates while promoting available jobs.
“Glassdoor is quickly becoming a vital employment information hub for both job seekers and employers. To have our social recruiting solutions recognized by Bersin by Deloitte is a true honor and testament to our commitment to providing a socially rich and valuable experience to our community,” said Robert Hohman, CEO and co-founder of Glassdoor.
As of today, Glassdoor welcomes 18 million members who have access to the latest job listings along with four million employee-provided company reviews, ratings and salary reports for 250,000 companies across 190 countries. In addition, Glassdoor has partnered with more than 700 employers – including companies like General Mills, Hewlett-Packard and Shell – who are actively engaged in recruiting and retaining top talent as well as managing their employment brand.
Bersin, in cooperation with Human Resource Executive® magazine, evaluated hundreds of applicants to determine this year’s winners. The WhatWorks award program uses selection criteria based on years of in-depth study across all areas of HR, learning, and talent management; and the award categories cover the gamut of how the HR, learning and talent related organizations can affect their organizations in positive and measurable ways. Glassdoor was recognized in the Delivering Innovation category because the company displayed proof of positive business impact by improving the social recruiting process.
“Implemented in a climate of ongoing market turbulence, winning programs this year focused heavily on business agility, analytics, continuous development, collaboration and change management,” said David Mallon, vice president of research, Bersin by Deloitte. “Among the other themes that emerged were the need to invest in tomorrow’s leaders from within their ranks to combat a worldwide shortage of leadership talent; having a simple, sustainable framework for matching competencies to roles for better talent management; and a need for organizations to mine current and past employee populations to compete for the best talent.”
