You can try to sign up for your time off 2 or 3 months in advance, but it is unlikely that you will be able to get that day off anyway, as everyone apparently has already put in their requests. A waiting list is always present, and the number is always higher than the allowed number of people to get the day off.
I know I have seen it come around at times when the calls levels are low. It's not something always offered.
Almost always available. Its a win-win. They make their payroll bonuses-you get offered "the rest of the day off" and who doesn't like an unexpected afternoon off?
They have VTO during their non-busy times.
Lots of volunteer opportunities are available for most times of the year (at least with the account I work on). VTO is often encouraged by management.
Depends on the campaign. Some have VTO for days, others are fairly infrequent. It's nice when it comes around.
They do more and more with local charities... Ronald McDonald house. and things that relate to their employees.
benefits suck, not worth the money
VTO is available sometimes, depending on the needs of your line of business. If calls are slow, you'll probably get it if you ask. If calls are really slow, they'll start asking for volunteers.
When theres not work its an option, doesnt happen to often but varies from project to project
