2 weeks vacation starting (negotiable); 401k match up to 6% and a 3% “gift” for participating. Standard health benefits and workplace wellness incentives. You can get money off of your annual insurance costs; you won’t receive cash for participating
Solid health benefits, reasonable deductibles (HSA), great prescription drug coverage; 401k match is ok not great (5%)
Wonderful benefits for employees. This company has some of the best health care coverage of any Fortune 100 company in the US. Take advantage of the perks because most places don't offer packages like 3M does.
Great 401K match (8 percent)
Pretty comprehensive, with excellent 401K matching
5% 401k match, 3 weeks of vacation after 5 years of service, medical, dental insurance, 4-5 floating holidays
There is a performance incentive paid out based on performance of your division. If the division outperforms, the pay out increases.
Typical Internship that had no benefits
The 401K in the HIS division (it may vary by division) is excellent: 3% is given whether you contribute or not. Then they match you 100% up to 5%--so you can get 8% match IF you put in 5% yourself. If you put in 0% yourself, you still get 3% match. That is hard to beat. I'm looking at potentially leaving for a $15k increase and honestly, it's not worth it if I'm going somewhere that gives only a 4% 401k match. Health insurance is fine but I'm a zero utilizer so have no idea how it is if you are someone who needs to access the system. Vacation is great--ask for 3 weeks to start and they will give it to you. You get 12 holidays, 8 of which are dictated (like July 4th, etc.) and then 4 floating holidays. Sick days are totally unlimited. The benefits package over all is hard to beat. Salary is okay--they are pretty much in the middle--they won't under pay you but you can probably command more elsewhere. 3M makes it up on the benefits.
Best: Insurance, 401k matching is above average, stock purchase discount Worst: Vacation could be better/more.
