As a global company, we set common remuneration principles that are then translated into local packages.
ABB has a comprehensive and competitive benefits package overall. The Health and Wellness program is especially good and supports topics to help with personal growth and work-life balance.
Solid benefits, lots of choices.
401k match was a bit low. Other companies I have worked for had a better match. Still it was nice to have a match
Standard benefits for type of industry
The medical benefits do not kick in until you have paid a certain amount, like $1,000. Once I reach $1,000 then my medical would paying out, and there's always a deduction on every pay check, so the benefits are just one of the negative issues with the company.
401k matching provides a free 1.5 percent without any contribution by employee, gives you a sense that ABB wants you to think of your future even if you aren't already thinking about it. ABB is also incredibly understanding with military leave, as a reservist my training often comes at inopportune times or lengths but ABB offers matching in pay for long training times and never asks questions when I have to take time off.
3 weeks paid Vacation, HSA options for health benefits, Tuition Reimbursement, some voluntary benefits, 401K matching %.
Very good choice of benefits; health, life insurance, eye care and dental.
The Best was Vacation Worst was cost increases
The insurance is rubbish...high premiums and limited coverage. The plan was negotiated by some very inept individuals.
