    The medical benefits are very nice. I recently had to get glasses and only had to pay $50 out of my pocket. I was very pleased.

    It's improving, and it's good, but it's not great. The over-all package is very comprehensive in the types of coverage, it's just the minimum coverages being offered are not all that great. The best improvement this year is the Health insurance - 4 different options available, and the prescription maintenance drug coverage for chronic illnesses (asthma, diabetes, heart conditions, etc) is AMAZING for my family situation. I just wish I could afford the better plan, as an $8,000 family deductible means I am paying out a lot for chronic conditions. On the plus side, they listened to our feedback and the group life insurance is now less expensive - better, but not great. There are a few other areas that could be better... #1-- 401(k) match is only 25% of the first 6%. While I appreciate the fund manager being Prudential, I wish the match were better. #2 - Life insurance - only provides $15K base package, leaving the rest for you to fund via the "group rates" which are still way more expensive than what I can get through my local agent. Other companies supply a percent of salary (generous packages are a multiplier of salary with a minimum funded by company and any difference for additional insurance funded by employee, but on the same inexpensive rates!). I wish I had my last employer's plan at 3x salary with no medical questions. #3 - PTO... as a new employee, I accrued PTO but couldn't use it for 90 days. I started in the winter, which made that first cold/flu season a little rough when I got sick. That, and the amount of time off is sub-standard for high-level individual contributors and management.
