It's 100% paid at a time when insurance rates are insane
Decent benefits for the industry. Health insurance is particularly good. But they're not exactly keeping up with the times in terms of flexible workplace arrangements, salary and bonus structure, comp time, and some of the "creature comforts" that have become standard in Portland-area agencies. And don't let them dangle "bonuses" in front of you. They haven't paid out bonuses in years, but for some reason still talk them up during the hiring process.
Health insurance is very good.
The best thing about the benefits package at AHA is that if you waive the medical insurance because you get coverage elsewhere, you get 80% of the premium cost added to your salary.
Medical and dental premiums for the employee are completely covered by AHA!. In addition, while there is a $2500 deductible, AHA! reimburses any amount over $250. If you have coverage from someone else, you can opt-out and get 80% of the premium cost added to your salary.
No comp time for many long overtime hours worked.
