For a high schooler, the benefits were pretty good. I didn't need dental or health, so my benefits package didn't include things like that. Great benefits were essentially free movies all the time and discounts on food and drinks, as well as very flexible hours.
Honestly, out of all the part time jobs I have AMC theatres had the best benefits. You work inside, in Air Conditioning with practically free food everywhere (assuming the supervisor approves). You get free movie tickets almost whenever you want and not just for yourself, but for friends too! AMC also provides employee only midnight screenings of new popular releases and also has great giveaway promotional objects too. Not only all this but my AMC also let employees take home the old movie posters. It was great!
There is AMC Perks, an online discount program. I'm aware of the 401k benefits they have at AMC, but it was rarely mentioned along with the other benefits. If I did not inquire about benefits, I'm not sure if anyone would have brought it up otherwise.
Free movies always amazing crew and managers. However the pay is only 8.25$ and the customers are not always the nicest
In the part time job I had as much time work as I needed, which came in handy because I had a surgery and they were OK with me being gone for a while. The free movies gimmick is great... Unless the theater is 70%sold, in which case you can't get a free ticket. The discount only counted if you were on the clock... I'm not sure what they were thinking
You are allowed to get 2 free tickets but its a hassle to try to claim them since you have to contact your theatre to email another one about you receiving the free screening. Then you have to wait for them to verify it and the other ticket. Also, my management does not want to allow you to view movies when they release. Only discount on food is when your there to work.
We get employee discounts on food while on the clock, as well as 30 minutes before and after clocking off. While on the clock we get free drinks and popcorn, as well. Free movie tickets for myself and one other is always great.
free popcorn and movies are excellent
If you do not sign up for benefits within the first 30 days of working with the company, you do not get another chance to sign up until your open enrollment the following year. AMC is EXTREMELY bad with communication and does not tell its associates the important things like this. I had several employee not know this when we were "acquired" by them and walk out on their shifts because they were promised full benefits by AMC directly.
I was a very low level employee at AMC Entertainment so I didn't have a chance to get any benefits, I'm sure corporate has many
