As an intern you can get health benefits, you also get living expenses
The benefits are good all the standard offerings including an HSA. The company generously adds the amount of the employees health deductible to the HSA, which is a big cost savings.
Best thing is their 401(k) match is the highest allowed by law. Their education assistance is good, but the reimbursement to the co. for leaving too soon after attaining a degree is a bit harsh.
Biggest concern is for folks who do not live in Pennsylvania. The Californians have options to choose between Kaiser and BCBS, but the rest of N.A. is stuck with BCBS of Western PA. This makes it incredibly difficult to find doctors that are in network, that are GOOD DOCTORS. Also the premiums for some tests are very high (like Vitamin D). Thats not covered. I highly suggest before you have any procedure done that you work with your insurance provided to see how much its actually going to cost you. The High Deductible Plan isn't great, but if the direction everyone is heading - maybe I should s well. Dental and Vision are par for the course in terms of coverage. 3 weeks of vacation given at start, + 10 holidays. Dont get next week of vacation until 10 years of service.
Very solid. Covers all needs. Affordable.
Pleasant work atmosphere with great opportunity to learn new things
The benefits package is fairly comprehensive and covers most basics, but most of the plans do tend to incur a fair amount of out-of-pocket expenses.
The benefits covered what you would expect (401k, health insurance, vision plan, dental, etc.) but the vacation plan was cumulative and capped at 23 days for entry-level (27 days for senior level)
Good People, Women in Technology meetings, inspirational talks and events, team building activities, helpful and caring people in team.
Arbitrary fees added to add spouse to benefits who are eligible for benefits through their own employer in order to "recoup costs" when we're a billion-dollar company.
