If you live near Kaiser, it's great. If not, it's not as good.
Strong and humane benefits package - making up (at least in some part) for lower-than -average pay in comparison to similar jobs in the for-profit ecosystem.
Best I've ever had- although to be fair, that's not saying much these days.
HMO plan is affordable but limited. Ppo is expensive
Have to go through Kaiser Permanente. The lack of flexibility when looking for where to go for health care is frustrating and some of the doctors at the branch closest to APA do not have the best bedside manner.
I believe the health insurance is good as the facility is also located next to work offices, which is very convenient.
Kaiser Permanente is terrible. Sub par care and service.
Premiums have risen rapidly in the past few years, but are still lower than many employees. The PPO option is a lot more expensive than the HMO (Kaiser) but Kaiser has been great for our family.
