Flexibility in schedule and paid time off
Time off starts at 5 weeks. You can't beat that. Matching is pretty standard. Health care is good, but only if you live near a Kaiser facility otherwise, it's on the more expensive side. Mental health care benefits are awesome. Maternity leave isn't that great, very standard. There is very little in the way of job training offered unless you are a manager.
A solid and humane benefits package - particularly strong on medical. This makes up (to some degree) for the lower-than-average pay scale for similar positions in the for-profit ecosystem.
The medical benefits are decent, you have to go through Kaiser, though. However, you can opt to use outside providers. They match 2% of your salary for your 401k contribution. They offer pre tax commuter benefits and fsa.
Great benefits...Excellent place to work, Work Life Balance
Best: - opportunity to telecommute - vacation paid - medical insurance (Kaiser) Worst: - difficult to change plans (medical)
Generous PTO and paid Holidays benefits. Great telecommuting options and flexible schedule options makes APA a family friendly employer and good place to work for people with kids or caring for aging or ill family members. Terrific retirement benefit with company match. Promotes employee wellness, offering onsite gym and various exercise and yoga classes. The health insurance benefits are disappointing, options include Kaiser HMO or a flex plan with PHPC PPO managed by Kaiser. The only redeeming thing is the dental insurance.
They are very clear about your benefits and will take time to explain them to you. Health Insurance is through Kaiser Permanente. Each regular doctor visit is $10, and specialists require a copay of $20.
Good 401k match. They give everyone 2% and then match up to 4% so if you contribute 4%, you are saving 10% overall.
Great health and matching 401K
