Overall ASM offers a competitive package!
Best: Very good health care, time off and travel accommodation Worst: No stock options and limited covered parking space :)
Keeps premium/co-pay low by encouraging employees to participate in wellness programs such as sponsoring local races, mandatory annual check-ups etc
Comprehensive benefits, health, vision, dental, 401k, Roth 401k, life insurance, legal plan, short/long term disability etc etc. lacks ownership benefits compared to peers like ESPP, RSU. Performance bonuses are there but not that great.
401k matching at half a percent up to 6 percent(3% total company investment). In US 3 weeks paid vacation up until 5 years and goes up another week, same at 10 years.
The Health Insurance program is among the best in the industry across multiple industries. Even our health care providers are often surprised by our coverage. We receive discounts on our monthly premiums if we receive our annual physicals. so it is a win-win. We get a perk to join a local Gym (although it is a taxable benefit) up to a $$ limit per year. Where ASM's benefits are lacking are long term incentive programs. They are not open to all employees, and they are lackluster at best. They switched from stock options to RSUs a couple of years ago, which should be better. However, the RSUs are must smaller so in reality the benefit went down, and again, are not open to all employees. Need better ways to retain top talent in the company.
cost is very good for the employee
ASM International NV had a great benefits package.
The benefits and wellness plans provide very good coverage and the premiums are low. Discounted gym membership, 90/10 PPO, etc.
Holidays are better than the average - 10 paid holidays plus two floating holidays every year. Vacation is average, the usual 2 weeks to start plus 1 extra week for every 5 years service. Medical benefits used to be outstanding, but are slowly moving towards average for the industry over the past 10 years.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
