Abbott offers both maternity and paternity leave. Male employees are eligible for up to two consecutive weeks of paid leave within the first 15 weeks after their child's birth. Abbott also reimburses up to $10,000 for eligible expenses related to the successful legal adoption of a child (other than a family member). Up to two weeks of paid time off is also available for legal, travel or bonding needs related to the adoption. Furthermore, Abbott offers The Mothers At Work Program , designed to help female employees decide whether breastfeeding is an option for them, help them get started and ease their transition back to work. All Abbott employees may access educational materials and discounts on breast pumps, and female employees are eligible for free counseling from board-certified lactation consultants 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Maternity (typically 6 -8 weeks) and paternity (2 weeks) leave.
Virtually nothing compared to other healthcare companies.
It is good by US standards (6weeks paid ) but weak by Bay Area standards where some companies pay a full 6 months
Similar to industry standard, overall good package.
