10 days paid with the option to take short term disability.
Recently updated maternity leave policy. Standard STD coverage for the first 6-8 weeks depending on the birth type. % of your salary on STD covered is based on tenure with the organization, up to 100% for the full term at 5 years with the company. Abt just added 2 weeks paid maternity/paternity/parental leave for all parents fully paid by the company in addition to STD. FMLA covers 12 weeks, so the remaining 2-4 weeks after STD and maternity leave is covered through a combination of sick leave, vacation leave, and leave without pay, depending on how much of each you've accrued. This update is in line with other companies. Abt is considering making additional improvements.
seemed to be the standard leave
Maternity leave is the 3 months standard. Most women would wait until last minute to leave so they can have as much time as possible after the baby is born.
Pretty standard - 3 months leave. First 4 weeks full pay, last 8 weeks 60% short term disability.
Maternity leave seems about equal with industry standard; paternity leave is short.
Assume it's ok, but haven't had reason to use it. Firm is very supportive of female employees and hires women at senior levels.
