Very basic benefits package, but a great start for commuter benefits and health insurance.
Best thing is that there is one. Worst - Health insurance is still very expensive.
Medical is "ok" for employee only but pricey for employees with dependents. 401k matching depends on enrollment which is always declining therefore there are more years with zero matching contributions.
401k decent, although the chosen administrator has an antiquated website and online presence. Medical benefits are very basic and unaffordable for families. Barebones, and just to the point of being legal, and that's it. Communications about benefits are the poorest I've ever seen in my entire work life. Vacation/ time off policy inconsistent, and there is no clear route to accrue more vacation after many years of service. Seems like a side deal that your boss has to fight for, but only viable if they are in good favor politically. Food and snacks?!? Hahahaha! How about water and a breakroom? VERY few niceties as an employee at AAU.
Best thing was you received health care if you were full time. Worst thing was that if you were part time they would screw you out of it. They allowed you take a class for free but did everything in their power to stop you from actually doing it.
Paid vacation and sick days
0 match 401k but there’s a good difference card program
Very good health benefits package with great options to choose from based on your needs. Great price as well.
Standard health, dental and vision insurance. One free class per semester. Paid holidays, 1 floating day, sick days. Pre-tax commuter benefit.
Not a great health plan. Currently under husband's because it's a better offering. Really have to fight tooth and nail for decent PTO and vacation in your contract.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
