They don’t force benefits on you. They offer benefits once a year and you either opt in or opt out. Good choices are available.

Working contract you have to prepare for coverage ending at the end of the assignment but that just requires awareness and advance preparation. If you change assignments without taking time off, there is no lapse in coverage.

Good health insurance as far as I recall...this was when it was just HGI Healthcare; Don't remember about a 401k.
the pay and the ease of application process - the staff is second to none
The benefit package is only available to contract employees. That is the worst thing. But, when it is available to you, it is very affordable.
