We start with a generous Cafeteria Plan that allows employees to choose between cash and/or qualifying benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and/or accident insurance. Additionally, employees may direct their contributions towards health savings and/or dependent care flexible spending reimbursement accounts.
RETIREMENTWe encourage our employees to work toward their future. To that end we have a unique and extremely generous retirement benefit. Acumen sponsors both a Traditional 401k as well as a Roth 401K. In addition to the employee contribution (100% vested) we have a 5% (on the gross earnings) employer contribution. There is no matching requirement and the employer contribution is fully vested after four years of employment with the company.
DISABILITYAcumen provides short and long term disability and a company paid life insurance policy. Our employees can choose to purchase a supplemental life for themselves or their family members.
PTO POLICYWork is important, but we understand that our employees have a life outside of work. Staff members accrue personal paid time off for vacation, personal business, and short-term illnesses. Accrual rates are based on years of employment, beginning with three weeks and two days per year and increasing to a maximum of five weeks and two days per year. In addition, Acumen offers eight paid holidays per year
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMAcumen provides an Employee Assistance Program, which enables employees to access expert support services. This confidential program assists employees and their families in addressing behavioral health issues, supporting wellness activities, and accessing legal and financial resources.
COMMUTER BENEFITSFor employees who commute, we offer the opportunity to use pre-tax dollars in paying for commuting costs (including parking!), which can add up to some serious tax savings.
LEGAL SERVICESWe offer insurance plans covering potential costs associated with Legal Services and/or Identity Theft. These plans include paying for legal protection, consultations with lawyers, credit monitoring, and restoration of services in the event of identity theft.

“Pretty flexible with manager's approval, though officially only allowed once a week. Most people don't do it though since it's easier to just be in the office.”
“PTOs increases over time, and it will be 22 days after 2 years.”
health insurance is not provided, but 401k benefits are appropriate. in general benefits could be stronger.
The benefits package recently restructured and is very confusing.
company perks are pretty bad compared to tech companies in the bay area; PTO policy isn't the best either
medical, vision and dental insurance, 401K, PTO 17 days.
not having day offs for some holidays
Health plan is decent, but more options could be provided for their DC office. Gym on site. Decent 401(k) matching, vesting over 4 years. You get most federal holidays, but decent PTO accrual with tenure.
The company puts 5% of your salary into the 401k, regardless of your contribution amount. This is pretty amazing and basically a 5% salary increase. The rest is ok. Health insurance is a bit expensive (I opted out), though you get an extra $600 (?) cafeteria money that you can use for health insurance, or, as in my case, add it to your salary with a 35% penalty. Still pretty good though.
Really bad benefit. They give you a total package for some amount, but a part of it can be cashed out in a rate, and the rate is getting lower every year,
low salary package, small space for improving
HSA is flexible and works for many empolyees
