Adaptable enviornment was a big positive.
Best: Overall sense of administrators and staff caring for one another; higher take-home pay than Denver Public Schools thanks to district covering greater percentage of health care premiums. Worst: High stress level due to very behaviorally challenging students (at least the first grade cohort I taught) and relative lack of hands-on support from administration.
Pretty good health benefits. Holidays and summer break are perks. It is difficult to take time off during the school year.
