If you get to use it, it can be good but even though you have the vacation time you earn it thru the year so if you take 40 hours and have only "earned" 20 you would have to pay them back for the "unearned" hours used even though they "give you the hours in the beginning of the year

I never got paid for my remaining vacation time I earned. It also took them forever to change me to full time when I had been doing so pretty much since I started working there so I didn't get what I was suppose to. When I needed to use the time off it was like pulling teeth to get my manager to add it in. I had to remind him almost daily and call him after I had left on vacation to make sure. Even then he didn't use all the time off I wanted and had earned.

good PTO, but make sure you kiss enough tail to get it accepted, otherwise you'll be talking it for days you're not even scheduled to work

You can only take one week off in a row even if you have more than one week to take off. If you try to take two weeks off back to back they give you so much crap about it and then make you think your job could be in jeopardy! How ridiculous.
