Adventist Health system offers a great benefit package
The benefit packages are good for small and large families looking for good coverage and great health care options. The doctors are wonderful and care about their patients well being. The coverage also includes eye exam and dental coverage.
Health insurance good within the network, 401K match
Vacation Time, dress code
8 hours of vacation per pay after 2 years of service. Only 4% matching for 403B contributions.
The worst thing is the paid time off (called paid days off). There is no sick or holiday bank either. You have to use your paid time off to cover holidays - no exceptions, unless the bank is at 0. The bank is held in dollar amount (not hours), so a change in pay raise (promotion) would decrease the hours you have in your bank.
The benefits are pretty standard. For a Healthcare Organization the health insurance was expensive with high deductibles and copays. The work location is in a good location and the security is good.
Cannot cover spouse under health insurance plan.
You would think working for a Huge Healthcare company like Adventist Health, which is Florida Hospital Corporate HQ, the medical insurance would be great. But not so much! Co-pays are a lot and the RX plan is horrible, you can't just go to your local store to get your maintenance medication. You have to ensure the RX gets to the Mail Order place and then you have to wait a week or so to get your medication in the mail.
The company has a 403b which seems good. As for the benefits, they start immediately after your orientation class if you are a manager level and above. They have education reimbursement available especially for nursing.
