    Vacation was paid and normal to many companies offerings. PTO was only three days in a rolling year. This meant that any sort of illness such as the flu or something that keeps you down for more than 3 days in a roiling year either meant you didn't get paid, or you went into work sick. The latter was usually the case, and then the entire workplace would be sick.

    2 weeks vacation starting out isn't enough, although they just changed it to 3 weeks. You need 10 years of work experience to get 4 weeks.
