“Average industry stuff I do know of some out there that are bad but Aker gives essentially the same as everyone else. They tried hard to benchmark...”
Worst thing is 5 years employment for full vestment.
The best things about the benefits were the flexible working schedule, number of vacation days and the ability to work from home (on occasion).
Great benefits. Company has worked hard to keep BCBS of AL with minimal increases each year.
The health insurance in Alabama is second to none. Sick time was shockingly on 4 days per year. 6% match on 401(k). Normal vestment time.
Health insurance, vacation 401K is standard for the industry.
6% 401k, rollover vacation from year to year.
Vacation rolls over to next year, and you can sell back this time to the company at 75%
Long vesting period for 401K
One of the benefits that I like the most was the flex schedule. Every other Friday off or half day Fridays.
the insurance for 2016 was subpar compared to previous years but they had to comply to Obama care standards. No one was really happy with this benefit change.
