“12 Weeks full pay for Maternity leave. Unsure if any paternity leave.”
There is nothing bad about the companies benefits package. In the state of Alabama, it ranks upon the best to choose from.
Maternity leave is separate from Vacation/Sick Leave banks;
Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401k.
Excellent Health insurance. The best while employed extremely pricey in retirement.
The company matches up to 6% of your 401K, the mother and both the father will receive maternity leave... up to 6 weeks to spend with your kids.
It would be hard to beat the benefits package that come with employment at Alabama Power. With the vacation and some of the best insurance around its hard to beat.
The benefits are amazing! Healthcare is some of the best I have ever seen, there is also a Health Spending Account, Tax Saver Account if you have kids, and a percentage match when paying into your 401K.
Time off... did not get first week of sick time or time off for a year and only got one more week at 5 years.
401k and pension are unmatched by competition. Very competitive benefit package compared to other companies
The health insurance is excellent, and highly customizable based on your preferences. APC also boasts both a matching 401K and a pension retirement - which is almost unheard of today.
