Medical and health benefits are average for a company this size. There is no 401k match.
Health insurance is fine. There is no 401(k) match at all. Paid holidays, but not including MLK day or President's day. You start with 10 days of PTO per year. Unlimited sick time is probably the best benefit offered.
I have found the medical and dental to be very inexpensive for my family and the matching HSA up to $1500 is great. I wish there was a matching 401K and tuition reimbursement of some sort. I would like more vacation time but 3 years isn't that long to wait for 3 weeks. The amount of sick time is very generous, especially if you have a family or health issues.
Standard benefits, with regular package and HSA option started in last year or so.
Pretty standard comp package. The health insurance options are slightly better than standard.
They do not match 401k contributions.
Allen provides options for traditional health care, as well as a high deductible with an HSA plan. The high deductible plan still have very low deductibles, and Allen will match a significant amount 1 to 1 for money you put in your HSA. Dental and vision benefits also provided at very low cost.
The only downside was non-matched 401K.
The health benefits were industry standard and nothing to complain about. But the lack of work life balance and overall tone at the company was so negative at times that it's a wonder that Alan is successful as it is. overtime is expected and not rewarded.
The owners of AllenComm have made sure that the employees have multiple choices of benefits that can fit everyone's budget.
