Manager and higher switched to "Time Away" plan in 2016. No more accrued PTO.
We lost most of our PTO when CEO made changes
Employees begin to accrue time off right away and do so pretty quickly. Managers and above have "unlimited" time away as long as their responsibilities are covered.
I like that they give you 14 days off a year to use as sick days, vacation days, whatever you want. Almost three weeks a year off for entry-level employees. Who else does that?
The amount of time given is not performance based and those who aren't the best performers seem to get more time off because they've been with the company longer. The work life balance within my department is horrible and those who take vacation or paid time off are treated with scorn and gossiped about if they have to take time off during a busy time that is out of their control.
