Pretty good unless you use an out of network doctor.
The PTO is very generous. I've worked for Allina for 14 years and I accrue 10.5 hours of PTO per two weeks. That is just over 34 paid days off per year. Staff are allowed to carry that over from year to year, up to about 260 hours. For those complaining about having to use PTO for holidays, that is factored into the accrual. As is sick time. I'm very satisfied with my health insurance plan as well. Although it is the "Allina First" plan, I still receive in network benefits at non-Allina providers. I also get tuition reimbursement assistance as well.
Great insurance if you choose Allina first option. Company increases percentage contributed to 403b as years experience increases
Good benefits overall because Allina is a healthcare company
Good benefits, paid time off, and flexible work schedule depending upon job. 401k seems to be average. Good company to work for.
They have fantastic health benefits that are affordable with great coverage. Some of the best benefits out there.
Employees have options regarding level of coverage and type of medical insurance.
401 k is great. You get a few employee discounts but not many, they took away the gym discounts. The insurance is ok, not great. If you can get a spouses insurance instead, i would recommend it.
Weak salaries, poor health insurance.
Due to the union nurses contract, everyone has to work holidays or take PTO. Everyone starts with 23 days. Minus the 9 customary holidays such as Christmas or Labor Day, employees end up with 14 effective PTO days. That's not nearly enough considering Allina payscale is lowest in its region.
