The health insurance and 401(k) are pretty good. Not amazing, but pretty good. But the food options are decidedly not good, and you have to pay for it. So you end up paying about $8 a day for pretty mediocre food at lunch, which is a debbie downer.
Good healthy insurance. And 401k match plan.
Stock options and health benefits are awesome, taking care of families no matter the cost. The company does supply multiple shuttles to several bay area cities. Also, there is an employee assistance service to help with benefits.
shuttle, amazon discount, housing stipend, intern events, mentorship, as an intern I don't really care about the other benefits that much.
Employee discount is a joke (10% of $1000 spent on amazon), 401k matching doesn't meet silicon valley competitor standards. PTO is just standard though there's secret flexibility depending on team/manager.
Got a two-year sign-on bonus. That's a the best. The worst is the cafeteria, no free food but very expensive, not delicious either.
Free food Medical insurance Flexible working hours Working with the best in industry
--RSU sucks, Amazon vests only 10% of all you RSU during the first two years, ridiculous. --Promotion can be really difficult, no promotion no raise in salary
There's very few perks offered. There's no free lunch and none of the things Google employees get. You get $100 off Amazon.com purchases per year, but only if you spend $1000+.
best thing is I can have a lot of devices to play, worst thing is the health insurance is not good enough.
