Can roll over PTO to a certain amount. Allows you to plan for certain rainy days in life. That way don't always need to depend on the good grace of your employer.

StarStarStarStarStar Current Entry Level Water Resources Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia

For the industry, not bad off the bat: 17 days/year for FT employees.

Industry standard but also pretty flexible for short duration out of office stuff.

PTO offered is very comparable to similar industries. PTO is based on years in the industry not just years worked at this employer.

the best is that you get more days if as you work longer with them. The bad thing is that you cannot rollover PTO to the next year, and something worse is that when the company decides to close the office for holidays (because of financial conditions) after you have taken all your PTO, then you will have to go home without payment.

Typical PTO program. PTO varies by time with company. You get a payout upon separation.

    Off Friday 9 / 80 schedule.

I would say it is good, but they are cutting back
