“best thing, they offer it at hire. Worst, they only match 3%”
“On par with the rest of the government contracting world; not worse or better than the rest of government contractors.”
“We get flexable holidays, not paid holidays. Get Plenty Of PTO”
They will recognize your time worked for companies under the Amentum umbrella when issuing your PTO when you are first employed.
We recently were given the option of a PPO instead of just HOA
401k, paid time off, vacation
Insurance is High, but good. They Only Match 3% 401K.
No sick leave! You need to use your PTO if you got sick.
The benefits are horrible when it comes to 401k. They will match half of what you put in up to 3 percent. Your sick time and vacation hours are combined and holidays need to be approved to make sure it's for a specific holiday. If you need to travel and would celebrate a holiday earlier or later than the specific date, it will not be approved. The payment system is not user friendly, and you're not allowed to see your holiday hours. you have to ask.
Health insurance is a nice plan.
Typical of the beltway companies...
Benefits are expensive and the 401K match is lacking.
Best Retirement benefits are fine. You are fully vested from day one. Worst Family benefits, such as parental leave, are a joke and sub-par compared to other government contractors. Not enough time to truly get settled following a birth or an adoption. General PTO - PTO accrued or time off is applied to both vacation and sick leave. Imagine if you accrue 12 days of PTO a year and get sick and have to use 10 days to heal that leaves only 2 days of PTO left for a vacation. This concept cannot be good for the mental health of employees needing time to relax and recharge their batteries. Also, witnessed multiple employees come in sick because they didn't want to waste their PTO on sick leave as they had a vacation planned. Probably not good to bring illness into the workplace, but Amentum does not think logically or strategically when offering PTO. They should move to having employees accrue both vacation and sick leave where employees can utilize the appropriate leave based on the circumstances.
