Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, and 401(k) benefits are reasonable for the market. AAM seemed to do their research when it came to keeping their employee cost low. Vacation benefits standard for industry.
401k match up to 5%, optical and health are all provided for a fee..
The benefits are horrible, you have to spend 3k out of pocket before anything is covered. If you are a smoker you get penalty for that. There is no drug prescription program. The insurance coverage is the worst I ever had.
Just normal as majority of supplier in Great Detroit area.
no vacations and no time off , health insurance was ok
Rather solid 401 (k) plan with good investment options. The vacation is slow to accumulate and maxes out rather low (at 20 days).
They took away the $25 per week medical opt out. They took away the annual golf outing. No company picnic and no Christmas gift or bonus. They have something like 26,000 employees worldwide. Wages are not at all competitive in the area. They pay out raises annually, 2%, if your lucky. The best thing is when they took away $25 per week medical opt out for people who do not take their insurance is it only cost me $1300.00 per year.
To get everyone on the same benefit package they took benefits away from 'legacy' employees
High deductible & monthly payment!
A good 401K program with a company match.
List based on reports from current and former employees. It may not be complete.
