Training is very very good
I was never formally trained for my position, so job training is a bit of a joke.
it was ok, you need to already know what you're doing coming into the job.
2 day training on how to sell and their policies and procedures
The worst thing about the training at American Eagle Outfitters was the manager/trainer did not the outlined policies and procedures of the organization, thus, training was really lacking. Also, customer service skills were not discussed.
They do take the time to train you on the brand and then once a week you get time off the floor to learn about new products and campaigns so its good in that you have the tools to do well in sales. Improvement could be in dealing with customer escalations
I was trained the Sunday before tax free weekend and was put on register for tax free weekend. I barely knew what I was doing and it was really intimidating.
They took about 3 shifts to train me.
You learn a lot in most of your traingings
On the job training more of a train as you go
