APhA offers a defined contribution 401(k) to its employees. Participants are 100% vested in their salary reduction contributions upon hire and in the APhA matching contributions once they satisfy eligibility requirements. The Association will make an employer contribution in an amount equal to 100% of the first 5% of the pay an employee contributes to APhA's 401(k) plan through salary deferal.
APhA also offers a Roth 401(k) option to provide employees with another choice for their retirement savings.
They only match 5% after 1st year of service. The organization has high turnover, thus the year long waiting period.
