Employer Summary

Annual leave is provided to fulltime employees for the purposes of vacation, personal leave and illness. Leave accrual begins immediately and is available for employees' use as it is accrued. A fulltime employee may carry up to 160 hours of leave from one calendar year to the next. Leave is accrued at the following rates:

  • 0-3 years of employment: 6.15 hours/pay period (20 days)
  • 3-5 years of employment: 7.08 hours/pay period (23 days)
  • 5-9 years of employment: 8.00 hours/pay period (26 days)
  • 9+ years of employment: 9.23 hours/pay period (30 days)

    Vacation time is supposed to be used for: vacation, PTO and sick leave. If you get sick, you end up losing your vacation. There is no maternity/paternity leave so you have to use your vacation for that.
