The American Red Cross offers its employees paid time off.
I think you start off with 15 days PTO - includes sick and vacation. Only 8 paid holidays but you get 2 floating holidays.
You receive more than average amount of PTO, but there is no sick time
The paid time off is dependent upon the hours worked and is typical of what non-profits offer. Vacation time is also dependent on hours worked. It is not nearly as generous as many for=profit companies.
Pretty standard PTO, nothing special. It was nice that they offered PTO to part-time employees too.
Red Cross considers itself a 24/7 operation so there is very few holidays that you have off. Need to work most holidays. It takes five years before you earn your third week of vacation time.
Hard to get time off when you work 24/7
Great start to occure time from day one staff really works together and offers a great program
There is only PTO and you don't get that much because they cut down the hours earned
Starts at 4weeks and increases over time. Employees can no longer carry over their unused time. This is a problem when unable to take time due to number of critical projects the company implements during each year.
Paid time off is awesome
