Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?
Work from home and matching 401K, equity is below market.
Standard perks. Standard benefits are nice.
Unlimited PTO for full time employees, great work/life balance
Ancestry has a very flexible work from home policy where each employee can decide what is best for them. Day-to-day it's always easy to get time to go to appointments etc.
The new "remote work" policies, are a great addition to the company's benefits. But the gym reimbursement program for Bay Area residents is too low, for the high cost of most fitness center memberships.
Ancestry is invested in making sure that salaries are equitable and align competitively to the market. So much so that they did periodic leveling and salary adjustments that were appreciated.
