Cheap and good health insurance Vision and dental included Supplemental and county retirement Paid days off
Excellent benefits! The amount you pay for benefits is significantly less than you would find anywhere else.
AACPS offers a fantastic benefits package. Since moving to another district in a different state, I have come to realize just how excellent it was.
Health insurance options are excellent, but recent increases in premiums and a surcharge for spouses reduce the benefit. 403(b) options have high fees. Life insurance options are fantastic and there are a few teacher discounts. Benefits redeem poor salary for teachers closer to retirement, but not for those early or mid-career.
Was same coverage as in PG, but the union negotiated it lower. Unfortunate recent development in AAMC if you live in the county, may not have contract with Care First In Network
Benefits, paid vacations, professional growth is really good as well. The county expects too much from their teachers. The paperwork does not stop at all.
The health coverage is quite good. The benefits somewhat counter the low pay.
Health care, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, employee discounts, sick leave, all good. Salaries for teachers below average.
The best aspects of the benefit package are the health care plan and the retirement/pension plan. The medical plans are truly the affordable heath care plans and the pension plan is something is worth the wait of 25 to 30 years. A pension plan only exists for 7% of the American workers and is a beautiful concept that has become a fading American dream. Get it before it disappears altogether.
As a TSA you do not get any benefits and are expected to work for 10/hr caring for the lives of other peoples children
