Generous time off for first the first year
The worst part is the time off is earned. So, your first year you have no time off. Also, there are only two day off for funerals. That does not give you much time to make arrangements. Hourly employees have to make up their time off due to bad weather the same week.
Best thing is that they do value work/life balance. I have a great vacation plan and very flexible hours in my position. They put the trust in employees to get their business handled week in and week out.
Very stingy, outdated policies on every type of PTO: vacation, maternity leave, bereavement leave, sick days, you name it.
It's better than it used to be! In my first year, they used to only give you 5 sick days. No PTO or vacation time. They changed it during my second year so I had 10 days PTO, not sure what it would be for first year employees now.
